SFS Truckee Now Open!

One of the many wonderful things about the Tahoe City office is the pioneer spirit of the staff.  A recent manifestation of this nonconformity is noted in the development of a contract with Nevada County HHS which expanded the agency's footprint as well as our ability to help even more people.  Sierra Family Services is now working with Nevada County Behavioral Health Services to provide counseling for children and adolescents who have Medi-Cal or who are Medi-Cal eligible.  Located in the Joseph Center, the SFS Truckee team is available to see clients on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Sierra Family Services is now accepting new referrals.  We have flexible scheduling during both day and evening hours, Monday - Thursday.  Our therapists are Master’s level clinicians, either licensed or at various stages of pursuing licensure, and are skilled in working with children, adolescents and adults individually as well as in family and couple modalities.

Our office is conveniently located at 381-A Nevada Street (across from Eisley’s Nursery).  With a group practice, we are able to offer expertise in case management, play therapy, art therapy, sand tray therapy, parenting, domestic violence, trauma, and anger management. We are always happy to provide a free 30-minute in person or phone consultation to determine the best fit for the client’s needs.

All services are offered on a sliding scale, and at $60 - $90 per 50 minute session are very competitive and affordable. We also accept Medi-Cal and California Victims of Crime program referrals.
